We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, and highly professional assistant manager to help oversee operations in our 5 star, high-end dog salon on Newbury Street. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage, train and cover for our front desk clientele as well as help with overall promotion of the business and oversight of operations and profitability.

Experience with customer service is essential, as is the willingness to undergo training in both front desk operations and dog bathing. This is a stepping-stone placement for an ambitious person who loves dogs and is seeking a career in a sophisticated, emergent brand.

Minimum Requirements

• Passion and love for dogs
• Enthusiasm, energy and ambition
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to speak English
• Minimum of 2 years of Customer Service Experience
• Ability and desire to interact with clients and their pets
• Ability to manage staff in a busy salon environment
• Ability to create schedules and work with scheduling software
• Ability to upsell and promote products, services and memberships
• Comfort with community engagement and networking
• Willingness to be cross-trained in bathing/grooming
• Able to work around pet hair and dander
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Reliable transportation to Newbury Street in Boston (we are on the Green Line of the T)

Experience in management, animal care, and/or sales are recommended but not required.
