Hairstylist – Balayage & Color Specialist at Our Salon

Job Description

Our Salon is a boutique, modern salon located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We specialize in balayage, blondes, dimensional color, precision cutting, and luxury hair services.

We are looking for a talented, motivated, and professional Hairstylist to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate is passionate about hair, has strong technical skills, and understands the importance of creating a personalized experience for every client. Experience with balayage, highlights, blonding, and color corrections is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform balayage, highlights, blonding, dimensional color, color corrections, and other color services
Provide professional haircuts, blowouts, and styling
Conduct thorough client consultations and recommend appropriate services and home-care products
Analyze hair condition and determine the safest and most effective approach to achieve the desired result
Maintain excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards
Create a luxury, welcoming experience for every client
Take before-and-after photos and videos of your work for salon documentation and social media
Educate clients on proper hair care and recommended professional products
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
Follow salon sanitation and safety procedures
Communicate and work effectively with receptionists, assistants, and other stylists
Participate in salon education, training, and team meetings
Represent the Our Salon brand professionally both in the salon and on social media

Qualifications

Valid New York State Cosmetology License
3+ years of professional hairstyling experience preferred
Strong experience with balayage, highlights, blondes, and color services
Excellent consultation and communication skills
Strong knowledge of color theory and hair chemistry
Ability to work independently while being a positive team player
Professional appearance and attitude
Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional client service
Portfolio or social media showcasing your work is strongly preferred
