Hearth is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. This mission is accomplished through a unique blend of prevention, placement, and housing programs all designed to help elders find and succeed in homes of their own. To this end, all housing operated by Hearth provides a creative array of supportive services that assist residents to age with dignity, regardless of their special medical, mental health, or social needs. Hearth is seeking a Haircutting Volunteer for recently licensed hairstylists and barbers to provide basic haircuts for residents at our Ruggles Assisted Living facility. This is a wonderful way to support older adults by helping them feel cared for, comfortable, and confident while building your portfolio. Haircutting at Ruggles Assisted Living - What You’ll Do: - Provide haircuts for approximately 30 residents, as needed - Create a welcoming, respectful, and safe environment for all residents - Coordinate with staff to schedule sessions and resident sign-ups
