Job Description

An assistant at Cadre Salon is a vital part of our salon team, providing support to stylists with all operations around them running smoothly. The assistant helps maintain a welcoming, clean environment and enhances the client experience through exceptional service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Key tasks for the salon assistant include but are not limited to:

Organizing and preparing tools, products, and supplies for stylists as needed.
Assist with color application, foiling, and other technical services as directed by the stylist.
Perform blow-drying and basic styling tasks under the guidance of a stylist if needed.
Greeting clients warmly at the door and accommodating them with amenities such as water, coffee, etc.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations and common areas.
Sweep hair, clean tools, and sanitize equipment regularly.
Restocking supplies around the salon as needed.
Ensure the salon is tidy and presentable at all times.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in hair care and styling.
Attend training sessions and workshops provided by the salon.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to salon goals and objectives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
CT cosmetology license.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn (team player).
Takes opportunity for growth and advancement in the industry.
Previous experience in a salon setting is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity and ability to handle various tools and products.
