We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling, customer service, and salon management. You will be responsible for providing exceptional hair care services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. Your expertise in various techniques, including hair extensions, color theory, and barbering, will contribute to the overall success of our salon.

Duties

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
• Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
• Use salon software such as GLOSS GENIUS for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
• Assist with retail sales by recommending products that complement services provided.
• Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on best practices in hair care and styling.
• Conduct front desk duties including greeting clients and managing appointment schedules.
• Apply makeup as needed for special occasions or events. (Optional)
• Engage in upselling services to enhance client experience and salon revenue.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and beauty treatments.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
• Proficiency in hair styling techniques including color theory, cutting, and styling.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Experience with salon management software is a plus.
• Ability to perform retail math for inventory management and sales tracking.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness within the salon environment.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is highly desirable.
• A passion for mentoring others in the beauty industry is an advantage.
